Be Honest...

Are limiting beliefs holding you back from taking the next step whether that be personally, professionally, OR BOTH? Ever feel like no matter how hard you work, you can't seem to get ahead? These intrusive thoughts can sabotage your success, leading to procrastination, burnout, and the constant feeling of never doing enough. If this sounds familiar, you're not alone. But here's the truth: by the end of this post, you'll understand how to recognize limiting beliefs, start reframing them, and take a major step towards a more fulfilling mindset!

Get ready to turn your biggest critic (yourself!) into your greatest supporter with my workbook to guide you through the process!

Challenging the "Not Good Enough" Lie

It's easy to get stuck focusing on what you're not yet good at. That's the nature of limiting beliefs! But how about flipping that script?

Have you ever heard of a “Strengths Journal”? Maybe so, maybe not. This is a REALLY simple practice where each day you write down at least one thing you did well.

This could be a fantastic client or relationship interaction, mastering a new technique, or even getting through a challenging task. Maybe you finally asked for help when you needed it, found time for self-care amidst a busy schedule, or simply tackled one important thing on your to-do list.

This simple practice shifts your focus from "I'm not good enough" to "Look at all I am capable of!" Over time, your journal becomes evidence of all you've accomplished, boosting your confidence and empowering you to take on new challenges.

Suggested Journaling Prompt: How has the 'I'm not good enough' belief shown up in my life and business?

Perfectionism Holding You Back? It's Time for a Perspective Shift

Big goals can feel overwhelming, especially when that voice of doubt whispers that you're not ready or capable. Here's the antidote: break things down into bite-sized steps.

Instead of focusing on the end goal, start with outlining its components, breaking it down into way smaller, bite sized steps. Plan out deadlines for each stage. One Example: Rather than overthinking your social media strategy, commit to posting two times a week. JUST TWO. Each small action chips away at that feeling of analysis paralysis, proves that you are making progress, and builds the confidence to keep taking the next step.

Sometimes, you just have to tell that nagging perfectionist voice to take a break and remind yourself that done is better than perfect!

A finished (even if slightly flawed) project is infinitely more valuable than one stuck in limbo. Maybe your first attempt at a new skill feels a little rough, but putting yourself out there is the key to growth. Or, the social media post with a minor typo still provides value to your audience. The act of completion empowers you to improve and iterate over time.

Even I struggle with this! I committed to daily journaling this year, but there have been days I was too exhausted to write. Instead of beating myself up, I simply go back and fill in the gaps later. It's not ideal, but it's far better than giving up on my goal due to a few missed days. I used to think missing a day meant I failed. Now, I recognize that catching up is still a victory, and it keeps me committed to the bigger picture.

Think of one thing you've been holding back on because it doesn't feel "perfect." Commit to taking action on it this week, even if it's a minuscule step.

This Is About Progress, Not Perfection

Limiting beliefs like "I'm not good enough," the pressure of perfectionism, and the fear of taking action can chip away at your confidence and hold back the success you deserve. But it doesn't have to be this way. By celebrating your strengths, embracing the power of progress, and taking action even when it feels uncertain, you can transform those doubts into determination. Imagine making your decisions from a place of self-empowerment instead of fear!
